Terms of Service

Summary

• AnyRouter routes your requests to upstream model providers. We are a gateway, not the model author, and we do not guarantee any specific model, provider, or result.
• You are responsible for your account, your keys, the content you send, and staying within each upstream provider's own acceptable-use rules.
• Paid credits are sold through Polar, our merchant of record. Your card details never touch our servers.
• The service is provided "as is," without warranty, and our liability is limited as described below.
• You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use AnyRouter. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including all activity from your API keys. Keep your credentials secret; if you believe a key has been exposed, rotate or delete it from the dashboard immediately and email security@anyrouter.dev. We authenticate accounts through our identity provider (Clerk) and never see or store your password.

What the service does

AnyRouter exposes one OpenAI-compatible endpoint that forwards your prompts to a selected upstream provider (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Z-AI, or a Cloudflare AI model) and returns the provider's response. Routing, fallback, and model selection follow the configuration on your account. Because we relay your request to a third-party provider, that provider — not AnyRouter — generates the output, and its own terms and data-handling practices apply to the content you send it. We describe what upstream providers receive in our Privacy Policy.

Credits, billing, and refunds

AnyRouter is metered in prepaid credits. Every account starts with recurring free monthly credits and an optional daily free-tier allowance; you can top up or subscribe for a larger included balance when you need more. Usage is drawn from your balance as you send requests, priced by the tokens each request consumes.

• Payments. Paid credits and subscriptions are sold and processed by Polar, acting as our merchant of record. Polar handles payment, tax, and invoicing; AnyRouter does not receive or store your card number.
• Consumption. Credits are consumed based on measured token usage and the posted per-model price. Prices and free-tier limits can change; the current figures live on the Pricing page and in the dashboard.
• No overdraft. When your balance is exhausted, further billable requests are rejected until you top up. Free monthly credits and free-tier allowances reset on their own schedule and do not roll over.
• Refunds. Prepaid credits are generally non-refundable except where required by law or by the merchant of record's policy. If you were billed in error, email support@anyrouter.dev and we will work with you in good faith.

Bring-your-own-key (BYOK)

You may connect your own upstream provider keys (BYOK). When you do, AnyRouter forwards your requests using your key, and any usage is billed to you directly by that provider under your agreement with them — AnyRouter does not charge credits for traffic served by your own key. You are responsible for keeping your BYOK credentials valid and for complying with each provider's terms. We encrypt BYOK credentials at rest; the plaintext is only held in memory at the moment a request is forwarded.

Shared key pool

The shared key pool is an optional community feature. If you donate a provider key to the pool, you allow other AnyRouter users' requests to be served using that key, and you may in turn use keys other members have donated. This is powerful, so the rules are strict:

• You must have the right to donate the key. Only donate a key when the provider's own Terms of Service explicitly permit a third party to use it. Providers that are silent or that prohibit third-party use are excluded from the pool allowlist, and you must not attempt to bypass that.
• You remain responsible for your donated key. You authorize the usage that flows through it while it is in the pool, and you can withdraw it at any time from the dashboard.
• Use of pooled keys is at your own risk. Keys donated by others may be withdrawn, rate-limited, or exhausted without notice. We do not guarantee availability, capacity, or the conduct of any pooled key.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use AnyRouter to:

• break the law, infringe others' rights, or generate content that sexually exploits minors, facilitates violence, or promotes illegal activity;
• violate the acceptable-use policy or terms of any upstream provider your traffic is routed to — those policies apply to you on top of these Terms;
• attempt to breach, probe, overload, or circumvent the service's security, rate limits, quotas, or billing — including sharing or reselling access in a way designed to evade metering;
• resell or redistribute raw model access in violation of an upstream provider's terms, or misrepresent AnyRouter's output as human-authored where doing so is deceptive or unlawful;
• upload malware, scrape the service abusively, or interfere with other users' access.

You are solely responsible for the prompts you send and the outputs you use. Model output can be inaccurate, offensive, or unsuitable; you must review it before relying on it, especially for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

Your content and intellectual property

You keep whatever rights you already hold in the prompts you submit and the outputs you receive, subject to the terms of the upstream provider that generated them. We claim no ownership of your content. You grant AnyRouter only the limited, temporary license needed to route, process, and return your requests, and to store metadata (and, only if you opt in, request bodies) as described in the Privacy Policy. The AnyRouter name, site, documentation, and software are our property or our licensors' and are protected by intellectual-property law.

Service availability and changes

We work to keep the gateway fast and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Upstream providers can fail, deprecate models, change prices, or impose their own limits, and we may add, change, or remove models, providers, features, or limits at any time. Planned and unplanned downtime, maintenance, and upstream outages are expected parts of any gateway. Current status is published at our status page.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service, including all models, routing, and output, is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. AnyRouter does not warrant that any model output is correct, complete, safe, or fit for your purpose, and does not warrant the acts or omissions of any upstream provider.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AnyRouter and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service — even if we have been advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid AnyRouter for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AnyRouter and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the service, your BYOK or pool activity, or your breach of these Terms or of any upstream provider's terms.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the dashboard Settings page; deletion is described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, put the service or other users at risk, or use the service abusively or unlawfully — immediately where the risk warrants it, otherwise with reasonable notice. On termination your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law) continue to apply.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AnyRouter's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in this section waives any mandatory consumer-protection right you have where you live.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify account holders (for example by email or an in-product notice) before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
