Cherry Studio
Connect Cherry Studio to AnyRouter — one API key across the whole catalog, unified billing, and audit logs, in a settings-only change.
Cherry Studio is a cross-platform desktop AI client for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It supports 300+ AI models, multi-model chat, knowledge bases, code agents, and image generation. Since it speaks the OpenAI-compatible wire protocol, pointing it at AnyRouter is a settings-only change — and every chat then routes through one gateway.
Why route through AnyRouter
- One key. A single
sk-ar-key unlocks every model in the AnyRouter catalog — no separate keys per provider. - Audit logs. Every Cherry Studio request is recorded in your dashboard with cost, latency, and token usage.
- Free model swaps. Change the model in Cherry Studio without rotating keys.
Set it up
Step 1 — Create an AnyRouter API key
Go to your dashboard and create a new API key. It will be prefixed with sk-ar-.
Step 2 — Add AnyRouter as a custom provider
Open Cherry Studio and navigate to Settings → Model Services. Scroll to the bottom of the provider list and click Add Provider (or the + button). Fill in the fields:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Provider Name | AnyRouter |
| Provider Type | OpenAI Compatible |
| API Address | https://anyrouter.dev/api/v1 |
| API Key | your sk-ar-… key |
Step 3 — Fetch available models
After saving the provider, click Get Model List (or the sync/refresh icon next to the provider). Cherry Studio will call GET /api/v1/models and populate the full AnyRouter catalog automatically.
Step 4 — Start chatting
Select any AnyRouter model from the model picker and start a conversation. Your requests are billed against your AnyRouter credits and appear in your request logs.
Verify
After your first message, open your request logs. The call should appear within a second or two with the model name, token counts, and cost — confirmation Cherry Studio is routing through AnyRouter.

Troubleshooting
401 Unauthorized — verify your sk-ar- key is active and has credits. Check the dashboard.
Model not found — click the model sync button to refresh the model list. If a specific model is missing, confirm it is listed at GET /api/v1/models.
Slow responses — try a faster model such as google/gemini-3.1-flash-lite. Check latency overhead for benchmarks.
